Adrian Pace-Balzan

Mr. Pace-Balzan is a Consultant and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the Edinburgh Postgraduate Dental Institute. He graduated from the University of Malta in 1995. Following graduation he completed his vocational training and worked in both hospital and general dental practice in Malta before moving to the UK in 2000. He held a series of junior training posts in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery and Restorative Dentistry.

He undertook specialist training in Restorative Dentistry at the Edinburgh Postgraduate Dental Institute and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry (CCST) in 2010. This specialist training programme provided training in all the monospecialties of Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics, Endodontics & Periodontics) and the multidisciplinary management of patients with complex treatment needs. During this time he also gained an MPhil (Liverpool) in 2006, an MClinDent (Prosthodontics) in 2008 and FDS (Rest Dent) RCPS (Glasgow) in 2010. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

He has worked as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Crosshouse University Hospital (Oncology), Dundee Dental Hospital (Endodontics) and as a clinical academic consultant at the Glasgow Dental Hospital & School (Endodontics & Prosthodontics) before moving to the Edinburgh Dental Institute in 2016 were he leads the restorative service for patients with congenitally missing teeth (Hypodontia). He is also Training Program Director for the SE Scotland, External Examiner for the MSc in Prosthdontics (UCLAN) and External Advisor for the Scottish Academy.

His prime focus at the Meadows Dental Clinic is the management of patients with endodontic disease.
