Christina Malivitsi qualified from the University of Athens in 2012. After gaining experience in the Military Dental Hospital in Athens, she moved to the Scotland where she has been practising dentistry for the last 7 years. In this time Christina has focused on delivering a broad range of dental services and is currently undertaking a master’s degree in Prosthodontics and New Dental Technologies. She also works as a Dental Adviser/ Dental Reference Officer when not in practice.
Christina’s goal is to deliver personalised dental care to a high standard focusing on prevention and minimal intervention wherever possible. She works in synergy with the existing specialist team at the practice. Clear explanations will be provided and discussed enabling you to make decisions about your care. When treatment is deemed necessary, the goal is to deliver a comfortable, unhurried and high quality service.
Existing patients and new patients not requiring particular specialist care are welcome to appoint with Christina for regular check up or consultation.
What is endodontics?
Endodontics is also better known as Root Canal Treatment. Root Canal Treatment becomes necessary when the nerve of a tooth becomes irreversibly damaged, and therefore has to be surgically removed.
Periodontal disease affects the gums, bone and other supporting tissues of the teeth. Most individuals suffer gum inflammation from time to time, around 10% of the population appear to suffer from the more severe forms.
