Sarah graduated from the University of Dundee in 2010, the town she had grown up in. Her first general practice role was in Glasgow’s west end. Whilst there she studied for her royal college of surgeons examinations and competed further training in oral surgery and community dentistry. Having explored a few avenues she decided general practice was the role she enjoyed the most. Her first associate post was in a busy family clinic in West Lothian where she enjoyed looking after her patients and remained for 10 years.
The pandemic signalled a change for Sarah personally and professionally and she was delighted to be welcomed to Meadows Dental Clinic in June 2022. She is exceptionally happy in her new role, as our general practitioner having now met the majority of our existing patients and families. Sarah will perform your inspections at regular intervals dependent on your needs, advise you of any dental disease or wear that needs intervention, monitoring or maintenance and refer you to our hygienist and specialist teams when that expert level intervention is required.
Endodontics is also better known as Root Canal Treatment. Root Canal Treatment becomes necessary when the nerve of a tooth becomes irreversibly damaged, and therefore has to be surgically removed.
A Prosthodontist undertakes the process of rebuilding or replacement of missing teeth. They are trained to deal with the aesthetic and functional challenges that replacement of teeth present.
Periodontal disease affects the gums, bone and other supporting tissues of the teeth. Most individuals suffer gum inflammation from time to time, around 10% of the population appear to suffer from the more severe forms.
